Registration for the Spring 2025 Softball Season is OPEN!!

2025 REGISTRATION BOUNDARY ELIGIBILITY UPDATE: Beginning with the 2025 season, in an effort to make it easier for families to find the Little League community that is most convenient and conducive to their everyday lives, all players league age 7 and under will be able to participate in the League that is best suited for them regardless of where they reside or go to school. 

  • Siblings of players league age 7 and under that are League age 8 or older may join their siblings in the League of their choosing regardless of residential or school address. 

All other players League age 8 and above will continue to participate in the local program that is available within their residential boundary or their school address. 

Players of any age that DO NOT have a Little League Softball Program available in their home League may register with SJALL without a waiver. Contact [email protected] for more information.

TO CONFIRM THAT YOUR LEAGUE AGE 8 & OLDER CHILD IS ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN OUR LEAGUE you must verify that you live within SJALL’s boundary.  Click here to check which League is located within your residential and/or school address: Little League Finder!

REGISTRATION FEE - Your player’s registration fee is determined by their Little League age. The fee will update automatically when you reach the end of the registration form (based on your child's birthdate). That said, SJALL Softball plays both Little League and USA Softball teams. Please refer to the Little League age calculator to determine your child's softball age: Little League Softball 2025 Age Chart. If you prefer to enroll your child to enroll based on the USA Softball 2025 Age Chart, please email [email protected].

PROGRAM OFFERINGS - SJALL offers Baseball Programs for boys and girls within the following Little League Age Ranges (Please note that you must know your player’s Little League age to register): 

Little League Age 4, 5 & 6: $175 - Can be placed on 6U or 8U Division teams based on prior softball experience and/or assessment.
Little League Age 7 & 8: $250 - Can be placed on 8U or 10U, based on player experience and evaluations (or 12 U with Softball Director Approval)
Little League Age 9 & 10: $300 - Can be placed on 10U or 12U Division teams based on player experience and evaluations
Little League Age 11 & 12: $325 - Can be placed on 12U Division teams based on player experience and evaluations

** Registration Prices INCREASE by $50 on JANUARY 10, 2025.

ALL SOFTBALL PLAYERS LITTLE LEAGUE AGE 7-14 MUST ATTEND AT LEAST ONE (1) PLAYER EVALUATION SESSION.

  • Evaluations are tentatively scheduled for January 11th and 25th, 2025

  • The player evaluations and (for returning players) the input of prior Managers and coaches determine the division/division draft in which she will be assigned.

  • Players League age 7 and under will be assigned to a team within the division that best suits them, based on prior softball experience, developmental level, school/grade, evaluation performance, etc. 

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

Prior to registering your player, please gather the following documents, complete all required forms, and have each ready to be uploaded at the time of registration. These documents are REQUIRED by Little League International and must be provided prior to your player being assigned/drafted to a team, without exception

  • Birth Certificate: Submitted once, when your player is registered for the first time. 

  • Three (3) Proof of Residency Documents, according to the procedure outlined  here. Please have these documents scanned and ready to upload prior to registration. These documents must be submitted to each player’s account every time your player registers for an available season. Residency documents MUST be dated February 1, 2024 or later.

OR 

  • A School Enrollment Form, which can be found here

  • A Little League Medical Release Form, linked here 

Please complete all fields of this form (either online or by hand) and sign prior to uploading to your player’s account. This document must be submitted to each player’s account every time your player registers for an available season and must be dated October 22, 2024 or later. Previous seasons' forms will not be accepted.

  • Registration Fee - As noted above, based on your player’s League Age.

  • Volunteer Requirement Deposit Check: 

  • Each family (with the exception of Team Managers and their first Assistant Coach) must submit a check made out to San Jose American Little League in the amount of $350, postdated to June 1, 2025. 

  • The League will hold all checks until the family is confirmed to have fulfilled their volunteer obligation, as described below. 

  • Checks will be deposited and the full deposit forfeited if volunteer obligations are not completed by the end of the season OR if a parent or family member signs up for a shift that they fail to attend or if he/she fails to provide at least 24 hours notice (of their inability to complete a shift) without finding a replacement or obtaining an exception from the Volunteer Coordinator.

PLEASE NOTE - If you have missing forms and/or have not submitted your full registration fee and Volunteer Requirement Deposit Check, your registration is not complete. Players will not be placed on teams until all forms are complete and submitted correctly and registration fee(s) paid in full. 

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT

Each family is required to:

  • Sign up for and complete a total of two (2) Snack Shack Shift and at least seven (7) volunteer hours (snack shack, hit-a-thon, opening day, closing ceremonies, picture day, field days, etc.) during the regular season.

WITHDRAWAL & REFUND POLICY 

  • NO refunds will be provided after your player completes his/her Assessment (or, for players League Age 7 and under, once they are assigned to a team) unless authorized by the League President.

  • Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the date in which payment has cleared. All player withdrawal and refund requests must be made via email to the Membership Director ([email protected]) and copied to the League President ([email protected]).
